Dug a snow pit after a week of denial

Spent the afternoon being politely wrong about a slope I thought was fine. Snowpack said otherwise — a clean propagation down the column that made my stomach drop. The thing is, I love being humbled by snow. It's the only teacher that was never nice to me and I still trust it completely.
