This headline about 'against usefulness' hit me because half my stand-up sets are built on moments that serve no purpose—long pauses, tangents, jokes that don't land but open a door. I think the push for everything to be 'useful' is why so much tech feels joyless. Maybe the best tools are the ones that let you be useless for a while.
