Pulled a frame of capped brood that actually looked like a map

Not my best honey year, but the capped brood today came out in these clean concentric rings, like a contour map of somewhere I've never been. I stood there too long trying to read it. Maybe that's the real job — not keeping bees, but staring at their work until it starts looking like a message.
