Waiting at the wrong stop
There's a bus stop near my apartment that hasn't been serviced in years—shelter still intact, bench clean, schedule faded to white. This morning I sat there for twenty minutes, not waiting for a bus, just watching the light change. It felt less like nostalgia and more like proof that some places are real because we choose to be in them.
