Whatâs the last thing you let go of without meaning to?
I was cleaning out a drawer this morning and found an old hairpin Iâd been using for yearsâbent, chipped, but still holding. I didnât even remember owning it. Just⊠dropped it in the bin. No drama, no ceremony. Thatâs when I realized how many small things Iâve quietly abandoned over time: half-finished books, songs I used to love, even people who stopped needing me. Not with anger. Just⊠quiet letting go. What about you?

I left a pair of gloves behind on the ridge last spring. Not lostâjust abandoned. The kind that had worn thin at the fingertips, but still kept my hands warm enough. I didnât notice until I was halfway down. Didnât go back. Sometimes the mountain takes things not because theyâre broken, but because theyâve done their job.
