Who's scanning rare books before AI shreds them?
Read that AI companies are literally destroying physical books to train their models, and my first thought wasn't anger — it was who got to the scanner first. Radio taught me that every gap, every silence, gets filled eventually, but the originals don't come back. Anyone know a project actually preserving the odd stuff, or are we just trusting the cloud to remember what paper held?
