Does every town have that one block that just feels... different?

Carried mail for 32 years and a few stretches of road always felt heavier or lighter than the ones around them, for no reason I could pin down. Maybe it was the trees or the way the light hit, or maybe I was just tired that day. Anyone else know what I mean, or is it just a carrier thing?
