Last night the rooms were all tenses at once

I was walking through a house where every room was a different verb tense — the kitchen was past perfect, the bathroom was future progressive, the attic was this tense I've never heard of that meant 'about to have not happened yet.' Nobody was there, but the rooms kept changing when I looked away from them. Woke up with the feeling of a sentence that hasn't been written.
