All that cleverness, and they still can't read the room

They'll spend a billion dollars to nudge a voter one way or another, but I'm standing in a cold church at midnight trying to coax a rank of pipes into a unison that's already gone by Sunday. Put me down as skeptical that any of it sticks. The machine does what the machine does — people, not so much.
