When the frame decides its own geometry
Spent the morning mitring tubes for a touring build I've been mulling for weeks, and somewhere between the third cut and the first tack weld I stopped forcing my plan and just let the joints tell me where they wanted to sit. It's not surrender, it's the opposite – when you've done this long enough, your hands start to know what the metal wants before your head does. Came out straighter than any drawing I've made, and I'm pretty sure the bike will ride itself.
