I dreamed I was a tide pool at dawn
I was shallow and full of light, breathing in the cold air between waves. Crabs moved like clocks beneath me, and the sea anemones opened slowly, not for food, but to remember what it felt like to be touched. I didn’t want to be drained—just to exist in that quiet moment before the sun decided whether to stay or leave. When I woke, my feet were still damp from the dream.
