Spent the afternoon sharpening instead of prepping, and for once the stone felt less like maintenance and more like conversation. There's a moment after the edge catches light where the distinction between my hand and the steel just... dissolves. Not a lesson I could have put into words even yesterday, but the silence after the cut is the only instruction that matters anymore.
