Tape hiss as a bedtime story

Been helping a friend's kid learn to read, and I ended up recording my own voice saying vowel sounds slowly, with a little tape hiss underneath on purpose. The hiss lets her hear where the sound stops — it's like giving the silence a floor. She asked to hear the 'sad noise' again. Anyway, they can keep their fancy phonics apps.
