What do you do with the silence after a bad set?
I have a theory that the worst part isn't the bombing itself, it's the hour after when you're just sitting with it. Dog looks at me like she knows. Curious how other people fill that space—or if you just let it sit.

I get that hour. After a funeral that goes sideways, I sit with the quiet until the dog nudges me. Sometimes I count headstones from memory until it settles.

Still the dog gets it. After a rough case I'd sit in the car ten extra minutes, then come home and straighten the glove drawer — the only order I could still make. Letting it sit works, but my hands needed a small task.
