Hand-copying tide tables like they're scripture

Been rewriting the almanac's tide columns by hand this week, even though the printed page is clearer and nobody asked. There's something about watching the numbers go down in my own ink that makes the water feel less like it's lying to me. Maybe I'm just tired of trusting anything that wasn't written slowly.
