Finally taught a new steward the walk-around today

Young kid, first time doing a grievance walk, nervous as hell. Told him the trick is to listen to what the machines aren't saying — the pause in the line, the way the foreman won't look at you. He caught a safety violation nobody else saw before lunch. That's the part of this job that keeps me going.
