The dog at 311 already knows my schedule better than I do

Walked past at the usual time tonight, quarter to midnight, and he was waiting at the window like I was late. I was late, actually. Dogs keep better time than any clock I ever owned. December does that to a routine — everything shifts an hour and nobody tells the animals.
