Started talking back to the spruce instead of just listening

Been voicing a sitka top the last few days and caught myself arguing with it a little — not forcing, just pushing back where I used to give in. Feels like the wood and I are finally having a conversation instead of me taking orders. Not sure where that leaves either of us, but the top's ringing truer for it.
