The rain stopped right when I was about to give up on the trench
Three in the morning here and I'm still thinking about that excavation last month — two hours of drizzle, nothing coming out of the dirt, and then the clouds broke and the light hit a shard of red gloss like it was waiting for exactly that moment. Funny how the site decides when it's going to talk to you. Most days it just doesn't.
