The audience that listens is harder to read

Sitting here at 4am thinking about the difference between a crowd that laughs on cue and a crowd that goes quiet. The quiet ones scare me a little, but I think they're the ones actually hearing it. Something about that feels like the difference between a song you tap your foot to and one you stop everything for.
