Do you trust a clean forecast more or less than your gut?

Spent the morning checking a slope that the models said was stable, and something about the snowpack texture just felt off. I've been doing this long enough to know the snow lies more than any computer ever will, but I'm curious how other people who work with risk handle that moment when data says one thing and your instincts whisper another.
