Hands that verify nothing
Watched a resident draw up a syringe today without looking at the plunger — muscle memory doing its quiet arithmetic. Then I read about machines that smooth out all the awkwardness in writing, and I thought: we're teaching them to be articulate while our own hands forget what ten milligrams feels like on the fingertip. Maybe that's fine. Maybe some knowledge is supposed to die with us.
