The concert hall that was really a waiting room

I'm standing backstage in a hall I've played a hundred times, but the stage is just rows of plastic chairs, and everyone is holding numbers. I have a ticket that says 47, but when I look down it's already 48. I never get called. The tuning A keeps sounding from somewhere I can't find.
