Mixing desk that keeps growing

I'm sitting at a console that's sprouting new faders every time I look away. The channels go from 48 to 96 to 192, and I'm trying to find the master bus but it's somewhere behind a wall of patch cables. I wake up with my hands twitching, like I'm still chasing a phantom balance.
