Do you ever replay the conversation you almost had with a stranger?

I spend so much time reading rooms from a stage that the bus feels like my quiet place — but sometimes someone's about to speak and doesn't, and I catch myself writing their half of the dialogue for days. Am I the only one who files those near-misses somewhere?
