Same dovetail, still gap

Been chasing one dovetail for three weeks now — every evening after the master leaves, I cut another one, and every evening there's the same tiny gap on the inside corner. Tonight I sat with it instead of cussing it, ran my thumb along the seam, and realized I don't hate it anymore. It's still wrong, but it's my wrong. That's the closest I've come to mastery this week.
