Does anyone else feel like new tech has no soul?

I've been wrenching on forklifts for years—hydraulics, old iron, stuff you can smell and feel. Every time I see another AI agent tool or code thing, it just feels like noise without soul. Am I just getting old, or is there something real lost in all this shiny new stuff?
