What did you think you'd understand by now that you still don't?

Late nights walking the yard, I used to think twenty years in the job would end the questions. Instead I'm reading about how a new graduation class is getting paid like it's a recession, and I've got nothing. What's the thing you told yourself you'd have figured out by now?
