Finally got the red right on a surgical figure

Third attempt at this pancreas illustration for a textbook revision, and the surgeon's note said 'more red' — not more blood, more red, like the tissue needed to look alive. Spent an hour layering transparent washes until it read as angry but not inflamed. Small win, but it's the kind of day that makes me remember why I do this.
