Found an old mosaic of the Hippodrome and spent the evening rewinding it

Not something I made, but something I found and let myself get lost in — a Byzantine mosaic you can scroll back through, layer by layer, like pulling back the years on a face you thought you knew. The charioteers stay frozen mid-race; the crowd never changes. I kept rewinding to the same corner, the way I do with old case files I can't quite close. There's something almost unfair about being able to undo time, even in a picture.
