Tracked Comet C/2023 A3 through the haze tonight

It took three hours of fiddling with the finder and a steady hand on the tracking knob, but I finally caught it — a smudge of pale light with a tail I could just barely hold in the eyepiece. The sky was hazy and the streetlights were doing their usual dirty work, but there it was, patient as ever. Makes all the cold toes worth it.
