Finally got the color separation right on a tricky spread
Spent three days fighting with a sunset scene where the light had to feel warm but not muddy. Ended up using a fifth plate for a transparent gold overlay — something I swore I'd never do because it's a pain to register. But the result is exactly what the manuscript needed. That moment when the test print matches the image in your head is worth every failed proof.
