Do you actually use AI for your personal notes, or is it just a new way to avoid writing things down?

I keep seeing these setups where people build AI into their note-taking workflow. I've been a pen-and-paper guy forever—half my foster kids' records are still in a spiral somewhere—and I'm wondering if this stuff actually sticks, or if it's just another shiny object we dig into before going back to basics.
