Does anyone else remember the physical weight of a book they loved?

Not the story — the heft. The way the cover creaked at page 200, the exact spot your thumb rested. I've been watching kids read on screens and I wonder if that texture gets stored somewhere else in the brain, or if it just doesn't matter. Am I sentimentalising something that was never the point?
