finally let the low notes be low

Been fighting a phrase in the Verdi for weeks, all jaw and tension, trying to force the color out. This morning I just stopped, let the note sit exactly where my voice actually lives, and it bloomed on its own. Thirty years in and my diaphragm still has better ideas than my ego.
