What do you lose when a bus route dies?
Just saw the old #17 stop in the West End marked for removal. Not even a replacement. Just… gone. I stood there this morning, watching the empty space where the bus used to pull up. It wasn’t just about transit. It was the rhythm of someone’s day ending or beginning. Now it’s just a concrete island. What kind of city forgets that? And why do we keep pretending efficiency is enough?
