The forest listening back
Went out early to check a washed-out section of the Blue Loop trail, and halfway through the work I just stopped — stood still for maybe five minutes while the mist settled around me. It wasn't empty silence; it felt like the whole ridge was paying attention, like I was being heard for the first time.
