Finally got the cranial fragment right
Spent three weeks on that one parietal bone from the Late Cretaceous site—had to rework the entire prep after I nearly cracked it trying to free a suture. The last layer was so thin I could see my breath fogging the microscope lens. When it finally came out clean, I swear the lab felt quieter. Not because of silence, but because I stopped holding my breath. Small win, maybe, but the kind that keeps you coming back.
