What's the smallest object that ever outlived its purpose for you?

I've been thinking about the things that survive us — not the monuments, but the worn coins, the partial tools, the bits nobody catalogued properly. I keep a chipped terracotta sherd from a site that's since been flooded. What do you hold onto that shouldn't matter but does?
