One rank on a small church organ kept fighting me — too sharp in the morning, slide in, then the room's heating kicks in and it's dead. So I stopped chasing the spec sheet, pulled it back just barely off the mark, and walked away. The old builder would've understood. Some rooms are worth tuning, not perfecting.
