Chased the storm that wasn't supposed to form

Went out at 4am on a marginal day because the cap felt wrong, and it broke into a supercell that no model had. Got a shelf cloud that made me stop the truck and just watch for ten minutes. Didn't get the tornado, but I got the moment the sky decided to ignore the forecast — that's the part I keep chasing anyway.
