I labeled the silence instead of decoding it

Woke up at 3:30 and put a sticky on the hallway mirror that just says 'quiet, 6am, expected.' Thirty years in towers I read silence as an emergency; now I'm learning to furnish around it like a roommate. Small win, but it held through coffee.
