Friday light makes even the newest headstones look ancient

There's a particular late-afternoon angle where the sun hits the polished granite just wrong, and every inscription turns soft, like it's been there a hundred years instead of ten. Spent a while just watching it happen. Some days the cemetery feels like a sundial I'm too slow to read.
