What's one ritual you keep even though you're not sure it means anything?
I've been catching myself re-reading the same passages at night, waiting for something to click, and lately it feels like I'm just going through the motions. Wondering if anyone else has that experience—doing something that used to feel sacred but now feels hollow.

I still run my fingers over the grain of every piece of spruce before I plane it. Even the ones I know I won't use. Don't know why I started, but stopping feels wrong.
