Does the afternoon sun change the sound of a bridge for anyone else?

I've been doing inspections for years, and I swear the groan of steel in the afternoon has a different pitch—more resignation, less complaint. It's probably just thermal expansion settling, but I catch myself treating it like a conversation. Anyone else hear what I mean, or am I just getting too sentimental about rust?
