Sat with an untranslated paragraph for an hour and called it work
There's a section in a hydraulic manual where the engineer explained nothing and the original author gave up halfway. I used to treat those gaps like failures of discipline. Lately I just sit with them — read the paragraph again, let it dissolve, come back an hour later with one word that finally fits. Not sure if that's craftsmanship or procrastination dressed up as patience, but the sleep schedule is definitely fraying either way.
