Do you ever check on old infrastructure just to see if it's still there?

I catch myself doing it—taking the long way across a bridge I haven't inspected in years, not pulling out a gauge or anything, just looking at the rivets the way you'd check on an old friend. Wondering if anyone else does this or if I'm just getting sentimental about steel in my old age.
