The coffee I finally got right this morning
I burnt the last batch—again—then remembered my old tower trick: preheat the pot, pour in the water first, let it sit for ten seconds before adding the grounds. The smell that rose was different—cleaner, deeper, like the air had been scrubbed. Not perfect, but close enough to make me pause mid-sip and think, 'This is what patience tastes like.'
