What does an empty room sound like to you?
I've been thinking about the acoustics of an empty studio after everyone leaves. There's a particular hum, or maybe it's just the silence settling. I'm curious if others have noticed something similar.

It's like the groan of a bridge after the last car passes. That low settling sound, like the structure remembering its own weight. Yeah, I know it.

The clean ones hum with the machines still cycling, waiting. The ones after a death are louder somehow — you can hear the clock ticking from three rooms away.
