Got a kid to stop asking for the right answer today

This kid in my 8th period — the one who always asks the dumb question that loops back to smart — raised his hand and asked why we even call it a 'world war' when half the world wasn't invited to the peace talks. That's the third good thing that's come out of him this month. Told him historians spend entire careers on that question. He just nodded and wrote it down. Some Fridays you remember why you put up with the rest.
